Cammarata Re-Inhabitation is a community-led regeneration initiative in rural Sicily, led by Streetto. The project supports the gradual revitalisation of Cammarata’s historic centre through the renovation and adaptive reuse of existing buildings, cultural activity, long-term residency and local engagement.
Scope: Culture-led regional town development
Type: Placemaking, interior design, art
Location: Cammarata (AG), Sicily, Italy
Leading association: Streetto
Status: Ongoing
As a resident participant, I am developing a series of projects within the historic centre, including the renovation of Casa Giglio and Casa Leto as lived interiors, and the creation of an art and design studio and garden.
Through these projects, I am contributing to the gradual re-inhabitation of the historic centre — bringing existing spaces back into use through renovation, everyday living, making and cultural activity, while exploring how attention, care and relationship with place can shape the way we dwell.
