Life in Ruins? (2026–ongoing) is an ongoing artistic investigation into the ruin as a changing spatial condition. Situated in the historic centre of Cammarata, Sicily, the project explores how weathering, vegetation, material decay and time might shape the life of an existing structure.

Rather than imagining restoration as a return to a resolved architectural state, I am interested in the possibilities that emerge through restraint, ecological succession and the site’s gradual transformation. The project considers how a ruin might support new relationships between human and more-than-human life, and how its future might remain open to change.
